Basic genealogical research - following the books and looking up information in the original documents to find out more about our ancestors and their lives. Read more about it here.
Genealogical research based on your DNA-test results. Find out more about that relative who is difficult or impossible to indentify solely based on the paper trail. Sometimes a DNA-test is what remains to find that unknown relative. Read more about it here.
Guided and Selfguided tours. Have you been thinking about visiting the home town or village where you ancestors lived. You can either do it with a guide and get the full historical guideed tour including a nice Swedish lunch or you can do it on your own, take your time and stay as long as you wish. Read more about it here.
Setting up a GEDCOM-file. You may want to collect you family in a digital tree that you can use in any of the genealogical sites, your personal genealogical software or on the site where you have taken your DNA-test.
Heir research. Your ancestor had parents and siblings, how about looking for them and going forward in time to see what happened to them.
Locating relatives in Sweden. Once I have found the now living relatives maybe you want to get in touch with your relatives here in Sweden.
Find a grave, church or other location. The genealogical research will also help unearth information that can be experienced in the present. Do you want to try to locate the church where your ancestor was baptized and touch the baptismal font, walk down the isle where they were married, visit the location where the croft or cottage was located or walk down the street where they lived? This can be included in your guided/selfguided tour or you can have the information for your own personal files.
Research starts at SEK650.
